About Jayne

My name is Jayne; I started Little Goslings in early 2015 initially in my home, but due to expansion have now moved into our Farm Cottage. We have various pets at home which include, two black Labradors, two ponies, a horse and a black cat.

I gained my experience of working with children within a Primary School setting, and whilst working there, I achieved my NVQ Level 3 as a Teaching Assistant. I have also enjoyed looking after my Nephews, Nieces, God-Children and friends’ children, at various stages in their lives.

I have a portfolio of all the training I have completed such as the Paediatric First Aid course, Food Safety, Safeguarding and a range of courses on the Early Years Framework.

I have also helped to form a new Partnership called The Chestnuts Childcare Partnership, which includes St Thomas Children’s Centre, Little Oaks Nursery along with Little Goslings, coming together to create childcare places during term time and school holidays. The Partnership will share resources where possible and will hold training days for all staff across the board.

I am committed to providing a high quality childcare provision with unique features, so that the children are able to play both indoors and outdoors, in a safe and secure environment.

About Little Goslings setting

The Lounge & Play Room

These rooms have the majority of toys, books, treasure baskets, role-play items and many more exciting objects, that will enable the children to use their imagination.

Dining / Messy Room

This room is where the children will eat their snacks/meals. The children can also be creative with Arts and Crafts, along with baking and enjoy a range of messy play activities, to develop their learning. From this room, the children can access the garden area.

Little Goslings have dogs, a cat and ponies that the children will be able to spend time with. There is a Wooden Cabin, Teepee, Climbing Frames, Sandpit, Swings and Slides for all the children to experience. We will shortly be installing a glasshouse, to teach the children how to grow food.
